We had a new house built 2 years ago. Our lot has quite a slope from side to side. The builder did a LOT of backfill when they finished and graded the yard. They left us with quite a few ups and downs. Last year we put in an in ground pool, requiring taking out multiple trees. In order to save some of the trees AND grade the yard for drainage, we really ended up with some slopes that are difficult to walk on.
When I saw this product I was super excited….it’s what we needed…an EASY do-it-yourself method to put in something that would keep us from sliding down hill.
These are easy to install…they really don’t need much in the way of the prep work. Best to have the grass as short as possible under the step starting out though.
We spread these out in a couple different places in the yard. We really didn’t need more than two steps on our slopes. They work really well, I’m very happy with them.
Husband has one complaint, but there’s really nothing to be done for it. His issue is that he now has to use a weed whacker around and between the steps instead of using his lawn mower. First world problem, buddy!
Good product. Worth the price.
We’re thrilled to hear that you utilized NOBOROKKA for the slopes around your new home! It must have been a challenge with the risk of slipping or even spraining an ankle, so we’re delighted that we could help make the ground safer for you.
Regarding your husband’s concern about having to use a weed trimmer now, we have a suggestion: consider using a weed barrier (mulch sheet) between the steps. Most mulch sheets come in widths similar to NOBOROKKA steps, so by laying the sheet down first and then installing NOBOROKKA over it, you can help keep weeds under control and reduce the need for trimming.
Those sheets might not look as appealing at first, but once grass begins to grow around them, they serve as a landmark for the path, ultimately adding to overall safety. We hope you find this helpful!
